P-nats

Andrew Vanwyngarden [of MGMT]'s pants are quite rad. But not so rad as to not need legs. I mean, they don't, really. But what a catch those pants have; the owner is a front member of one of the best bands of all times.
Just so you know, there was a WAY better version of Kids before it got on Top Forty.

You've Changed.

Okay well here's the deal-io. I am fretting. Very much so.
My most faaaavourite band of all time, Natalie Portman's Shaved Head [fondly known as NPSH], has... CHANGED THEIR NAME. They are(were) the bright, shiny, happy singers/rockers of tunes such as Sophisticated Side Ponytail, and L.A. Noir. These are the dance anthems of my life. Unfortunately, such a band is no longer!!! Well, their name anyways. From now on my formerly favoured band will be referred to as Brite Futures. Which is totally fine I guess, but why change such a superb name?? It was so memorable, so catchy, so.... indie-licious. Now they sound like wanna be techno hipsters.

The band released a statement this morning explaining the change: "We chose our band name on a whim when we were still in high school, and "Natalie Portman's Shaved Head" has seen us through an unexpectedly amazing four years. Our love affair with Natalie's name was like a summer fling that lasted... and lasted... and lasted. But now it is summer once again, and time for a change. Also it has recently come to our attention that our muse Ms. Portman is not so keen on us using her name in ours. Ultimately we are lovers, not fighters, and our mamas didn't raise no fools, so we feel it is time to move forward with a new name. We are BRITE FUTURES. No hard feelings Natalie. You remain +1 on every guest list."

Their new song, Dog-Eared Summer is available for free download now.
I hate that they changed, but I love them all the same. Bittersweet, biznatches.
